NOTES:
The relationship between Lucy Guthrie and her prospective parents, William and Frances (Wilbourn) Guthrie, is speculative. Lucy’s children are named in the 1780 will of her brother Benjamin Guthrie, who made bequests to his other siblings and nieces and nephews. Unknown if her full name was Lucinda or simply Lucy. She married William Daniel in Christ Church Parish, Middlesex, VA on 26 July 1770. Both children received money for schooling from their uncle. Samuel received 150 pounds Virginia currency and City 100 pounds Virginia currency.
