NOTES:

The 1810 Census of Madison County, KY lists the Jesse Thomas household:
1M 45 and over (born before 1764), 1F 26-44 (born 1765-1784), 2M and 1F 16-25 (1785-1794), 2F 10-15 (1795-1800), and 1M under 10 (1801-1810).

This data suggests that Jesse Thomas was previously married. Since he and Elizabeth were married only 4 years prior to this census there is only one child in the household born during the right range to be their son. Family Tree data lists Jesse as a son of James Thomas and Elizabeth Childers. His first wife is said to be Jane Bowles whom he married in Goochland, Virginia. They had three sons and two daughters: Henry, Zachariah, Thursa, James, and Elisabeth. Jane died prior to 1806.

Jesse and Elizabeth are documented in the records of the Guthrie heirs for the estates of her brothers Peter and Reuben Guthrie. Also in a deed selling property in 1819.

Elizabeth may be the mother of the 1M under 10 in the 1810 census. It is theorized that this son is the Jesse Guthrie born in 1811 Madison County, KY who married Sarah ‘Sally’ Ann Dale in 1840/41 and shows up on the 1850 census.
